Itinerary

Day 1: Paro Arrival
Arrive Paro. Hat in a hotel in Paro.

Day 2: Paro
Hike to Taktsang Monastery. Halt in a hotel in Paro.

Day 3: Paro to Thimphu
Drive to Thimphu – 1 hour. Thimphu sightseeing: Folk Heritage Museum, School of Traditional Arts and Crafts, Memorial Chorten, Tashichodzong. Halt in Thimphu

Day 04: Thimphu
Thimphu sightseeing: Textile Museum, Memorial Chorten, Big Buddha. Afternoon drive to Punakha across Dochula pass. Halt in Punakha.

Day 05: Thimphu to Bumthang
Drive to Bumthang, en route sightseeing in Trongsa. Halt in Bumthang

Day 06: Trek Begins – Trek Day 1
Bumthang to Damphey. Distance: 15kms; Time: 5 to 6 hours; Maximum altitude: 9,500ft. Camp overnight.

Day 07: Trek Day 2
Damphey to  Gumling. Distance: 20kms; Time:7 to 8 hours; Maximum altitude:12,100ft. Camp overnight.

Day 08: Trek Day 3
Gumling to Mesethang. Distance: 5kms, Time: 2 hours. Trek ends and drive to Membertsho. Halt in Bumthang

Day 09: Bumthang to Punakha
Drive Bumthang to Punakha – 6 hours. Halt in Punakha.

Day 10: Punakha to Paro
Drive Punakha to Paro via Thimphu – 4 hours. Halt in Paro

Day 11: Departure
Depart from Paro Airport.
